About Us

Our story

From a garage shop to a family known name.

Two generations, one shop in Sparta, and the same promise since day one: show up quickly, explain things clearly, and do the job right.

Then

1977

Mike opens for business

Mike Schaitel started Mid-Wisconsin Pump & Well in rural Sparta, first working out of his home and then building a garage shop next door.

Now

2026

Jason carries it forward

Jason took over the business in 2003 and has grown it into a family known name. Today our crew runs two pump trucks and a service van from the same Sparta shop Mike built.
